One Dead, Eleven Injured in North Carolina House Party Shooting


 A house party in Hickory, North Carolina, ended in tragedy early Sunday morning when a mass shooting left one person dead and eleven others wounded. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to a call around 12:45 a.m. and discovered multiple gunshot victims at the residence.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The eleven surviving victims were transported to local hospitals for treatment, with one individual reported to be in critical condition.

Currently, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released any information regarding a potential suspect or motive for the attack. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation has joined the Catawba County Sheriff's Office and local police in a multi-agency effort to investigate the incident. The investigation remains active as authorities continue to process the scene and interview witnesses.
